Whistl invests in e-fulfilment firm Prism DM

UK-based delivery management firm Whistl has invested in Prism DM, a provider of out-sourced, yet fully integrated, fulfilment services for forward thinking multi-channel retailers.

Prism DM has its offices in Farnborough and Rushden, England, and its clients include Long Tall Sally, Oliver Sweeney, Brand Alley, Warner Brothers Studios, Le Chameau, National Trust, Sport Pursuit, and Emma’s Diary.

Whistl UK CEO Nick Wells said: “The move into e-fulfilment is a natural progression for the company and extends our offering in the supply chain.

“The 180 Prism staff will continue to provide excellent service, expertise and know-how to the business and with our size and scale we hope to maximise its potential in the future.”

Prism DM managing director Mike Thom said: “I have every confidence that this investment by Whistl will accelerate the business to the next level, whilst maintaining the core service values we have developed over many years.”

The new managing director of Prism will be Lieneke Happel, who will collaborate with Rashpal Gill and the team to offer solutions to both existing and new clients.

Logistics and supply chain company Whistl employs over 2000 people and specializes in business mail, doordrop media and parcels.

In June 2016, Whistl collaborated with iForce to develop carriage software for its multi-carrier single supplier packets and parcel service.

Whistl also provides tracked and untracked services, support for label printing, manifesting and customer notification, with its 60m ecommerce items.
